Adeline Anna Lina Ogitzak Lindstrom was born on September 21, 1913 in Camden Township, Carver County Minnesota to Samuel and Anna Zuehl Ogitzak.
She was baptized on October 5, 1913 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hollywood, Minnesota. She was confirmed on June 12, 1927 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Glencoe, Minnesota, and attended public school in Rich Valley, McLeod County.
On January 5, 1938, she married Arthur Lindstrom in Lester Prairie and the couple farmed for 40 years in the Lamson and Stockholm area. They retired in 1969 and moved into Cokato. Adeline moved into the Cokato Apartments #1 following the tornado in 1992, and subsequently moved to Brookridge assisted living in 2012. She became a resident of the Cokato Manor on January 31, 2016, where she passed away on March 3, 2016, at the age of 102.
Adeline has been an active member of Stockholm Lutheran Church since 1947. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, especially flowers, canning, playing cards, quilting, and making pickles. She did all of these well into her 90’s and made cookies, dill pickles, jam and jellies at 101.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Art in 1976, her parents, three sisters, three brothers, a son-in-law and a nephew.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wenlund and Jan Olson; a son James and wife Darleen; six grand children: Geri (John) Olson, Greg (Lisa) Wenlund, Jeffrey (Laura) Lindstrom, Sara Lindstrom, Michael (Sandy) Olson, and Kristin Olson; ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Adeline’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, April 2, 2016 at Stockholm Lutheran Church. A gathering of family and friends will take place 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Donna Margaret Adickes, was born April 27, 1932 in Howard Lake to Dana E and Letha Fay (Higgins) Bowers. She passed away March 2, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Home in Howard Lake where she had been a resident since 2013.
She grew up and attended school in Howard Lake. After graduating in 1950 she worked in Minneapolis as a secretary for Northrup King for a year and then worked for Munson’s Feeds in Howard Lake for two years. Donna married Harlon Arlie Adickes May 22, 1953 and they farmed in Waverly and then in Howard Lake. Five children were born to this union, Carolyn, Herbert, Louise, Rebecca and Christopher.
Donna was the ‘mom’ for any of the local children who were sick and needed to come home from school and ‘taxi driver’ to many activities for her children and their friends. She was a Sunday School teacher, trustee, elder, deacon and Head of the Women’s Association at First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake. She helped in the Good Samaritan Center for many years and was a member of the Advisory Board from 1994-1997.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Dana and Letha Bowers, her sisters Thelma Bowers and Maxine (Bowers) Schroers, brother-in-law Jerry Schroers and her son Christopher Dana Adickes in 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Harlon; daughter Carolyn Stoll of Waverly, son Herbert Adickes and Dee Safe of Red Wing, daughter Louise and Thurman Woodberry of Oak Grove, and daughter Rebecca and Todd Johnson of Duluth; grandchildren Terry and Wendy (Niesen) Stoll, Eric and Amanda (Drusch) Stoll, Jeremy and Mindy (Odenbrett) Stoll, Kelly and Kelli (Johnson) Stoll, Jared and Julie (Johnson) Woodberry, Jason Woodberry and Joshua Woodberry, great-grandchildren Allan, Austin, Wyatt, Devan, Alyssa, Emma, and Isabelle.
Instead of flowers, Donna requested that memorials be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake or the Christopher Adickes Scholarship Fund at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School. She said “…I wanted my flowers when I can enjoy them and I have enjoyed many!!”
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Howard Lake with the memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. A private family interment will be held at a later date at the Howard Lake Cemetery.

Engel, Bradley William
age 69, of Howard Lake passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He was born July 19, 1946 in Cokato, MN to Reuben and Mae (Combs) Engel and grew up in Howard Lake, MN. Bradley graduated from Howard Lake High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bradley was a hard worker that took pride in his labors. He drove commercially for Gambles and later Supervalu for many years. Bradley enjoyed watching the Howard Lake Orphans baseball team play by the lake.
Survived by LaMae Engel, children, Jenifer (Alan) Lange and Chad Engel, grandchildren, Nicolas (Olivia) Engel, Aleah Lange, and Jackson Lange, sister, Carol (Dale) Anderson, brother in-law, David Mitchell, along with other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Betty Mitchell, and Nancy (Carl) Wanha.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 AM Monday February 2/22/2016 at St. Johns Catholic Church of Darwin, Minnesota
Visitation: 4-8 PM Sunday at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato and 1hr prior to Mass at Church on Monday.
Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery of Waverly, Minnesota

Iva Christeen Johnson, “Ivy” age 82 passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2016 of Dementia. She was born August 21, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Ernest and Beulah (Tribble) Gloff. Ivy was united in marriage to Robert Johnson on May 9, 1953.
She was a loving wife, mom, grandma & friend to many.
Survived by children, John (Meggan) Johnson, Dawn (Roy) Freid, Ed (Dawn) Johnson & Tina (Scott) Wagner, 9 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren, also survived by many close relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by husband of 44 years, Robert (Bob) Johnson, mother Beulah Gloff, father Ernest Gloff, stepmother Iva Gloff, brother Milton Gloff & infant son.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, MN. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake and continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
