In loving memory of Hazel Marice (Weller) Oberpriller May 14, 1933 – July12, 2018
Hazel Marice Oberpriller of Howard Lake passed away on Thursday July12,2018 in her
home surrounded by family in Annandale, Minnesota.

Hazel was born May 14, 1933 to Richard SR. and Luella (Townsend) Weller in
Greenwood, Minnesota. She was the youngest of five siblings. Hazel attended Rockford school in her early years and attended Howard Lake public school when they moved to the Weller farm. She graduated in 1952. She lived with her friend Arlene in Minneapolis where she worked at Montgomery wards after she graduated.

Hazel was united in marriage to John (Jack) Oberpriller on April 24, 1954 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Maple Lake, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Minneapolis where Hazel worked in the banking industry and Woolworths clothing store. They were blessed with Kevin at this point. John and Hazel moved their family back to Howard Lake in the spring of 1957 to help out on the Weller farm. God blessed them with Sharrie, Elaine and Timothy. In 1962 Hazel and Jack purchased the property on highway 12 in Howard Lake. Here Janelle was born. Hazel and Jack started the Salvage business along with their good friends Dale and Joyce Thorson. T&O Auto Parts was born. Hazel became bookkeeper, secretary, and wore many hats after this. They were partners in business for 38 years but friends forever. Hazel was an active member in her community. She was a member of the Eastern Star from 1976-2006, The Howard Lake Lioness club from1980 to 2005 where she was president and treasurer for a time, ST. Mary’s Catholic Church and was also a money counter there. Hazel did so many other things for the community. She gave from her heart and made many long lasting friendships along the way.

Hazel loved to fish, crochet, garden and travel. She traveled to Florida, Wyoming, Oregon,
Colorado, Nevada, Alaska and Israel. She particularly liked the hot springs they found
Along the road while traveling.
She loved her family. She liked going out to eat with them or just hanging out interacting
With her Grandchildren and Great grand children.

Hazel is survived by her daughters Sharrie (Douglas) Brown, Elaine (Patrick) Hurley, and
Janelle (Thomas) Sullivan, 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren, her brothers
Richard Jr. and Willard Weller and Sister Varona Klugow.

Hazel is preceded in death by: Husband John, Sons Kevin and Timothy, Sister Rosalie
Boeson, Nephew Bruce Weller, parents Richard and Luella Weller and Great Grandson
Charles Schwarzkopf.

The Wake service will be on Friday July 27, 2018 at Swanson-Peterson funeral home in
Howard Lake from 4-8pm… The prayer service will be at 7pm officiated by father Greg
Paffel. A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday July 28th at St. Mary’s Church in
Waverly. Visitation is from 9:30-10-45am.Mass at 11:00 with Father Kenneth O-Hotto and
Father Greg Paffel.
