Marjorie May (Stevens) Nepstad was born to Allan and Hazel (Johnson) Stevens on February 24th, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Marge was a self-proclaimed “city girl”, and after graduating from Patrick Henry High, she took a job filing papers at an insurance company. As she said, “The piles just got bigger and bigger,” so she went on to business school and mastered the Burroughs Electric Calculator. Her quick fingers on the calculator took her to Northwestern Bank and then to General Mills. Eventually, she pursued her passion for fashion, and took a job a Dayton’s.

At age 25, Marge met her husband, Archie Nepstad, at a dance. They were married on January 14, 1950, and danced away together for the next 51 years. They had three children, Colleen, Bill, and Karen, and resided with their family in the Minneapolis/Richfield area for over 24 years. They also resided in Bella Vista, Arkansas, Hutchinson, Minnesota, and then eventually settled in Cokato, where they were well-cared for by the loving staff of Cokato Charitable Trust.

Throughout her life, Marge was a die-hard fisher-woman. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, playing volleyball, bowling, playing cards and trivia, and sharing a good cup of coffee and chocolate with her friends and family. Marge had an impeccable memory and a witty sense of humor, and often entertained visitors with her many stories and jokes.

Marge passed away on October 26, 2015 in Cokato, with family by her side. She reached the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Alan) Nagel of Dassel; grandchildren Brandon (Leah) Nagel of Litchfield, Matthew (Carly) Nagel of Burnsville, Jonathan Nagel of St. Paul, Kelsey (Philip) Morris of Cokato, and four beautiful great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Fay (Roger) Bredesen; son-in-law, Mike Boehne; cousin, Mary (John) Anderson; several nieces and nephews, and her dear friend, Vi McCalla.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Archie; son, Bill, and her daughter, Colleen Boehne.
