Tim Munson was born on December 4, 1951, to Roger & Lois Munson of Howard Lake.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church of Howard Lake. He attended parochial school at St. James and high school at Howard Lake & Cokato.
Tim didn’t talk much but he smiled easily and was considered a friend by most everyone who knew him.
Tim’s work history includes farming, being a janitor at Mayer Lutheran High, assisting Swanson Peterson, driving bus for Mayer Lutheran, and working at Dura Supreme.
Tim was an avid sports fan, supporting the Minnesota Twins and Vikings; the high school teams of Howard Lake and Mayer and was most dedicated to the Howard Lake Orphans baseball team. The Orphans honored their number-one fan declaring 7/18/14 “Tim Munson Day.”
After a decade struggling with Parkinson’s disease, Tim passed away at Good Samaritan in Howard Lake on October 28, 2021. He had reached the age of 69 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Roger & Lois Munson. Tim’s memory lives on in his friends and his family: brothers and spouses Allan & Donna Munson (Howard Lake) and Randall & Sharon Munson (Rochester & Redington Beach, FL); nieces and nephews: Aaron & Liz Munson (Duluth); Jenny & Neil Wikoff (Howard Lake); Corey & Michele Munson (Waverly); Russel & Allie Munson (Fridley); Sheryl & Jeremy Vold (Rochester); and Scott & Amy Munson (St. Paul).
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 1, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, with visitation 1 hour prior to services at church.
