Moberg, Joseph Brown, 49

Graveside Memorial service for Joseph will be held at 2PM on Saturday, September 17, at the Cokato City Cemetery

Joseph Brown Moberg, was born in Chicago,
Illinois, on December 31, 1961.
He grew up near North Park University
in Chicago.  He was known around campus as “the
neighborhood kid”.

 

Joseph’s parents died within a year of each other when
Joseph was 10 years old.  He spent some
time in foster homes, then came to Cokato for a visit with the Jim Lundeen
family. On this visit he met Waldo and Janet Moberg.  The Mobergs took him into their home and
eventually adopted Joseph as their own.

 

Joseph married Sindey Koch, and the couple lived in
Hector.  To this union two children were
born, Dustin Wade, who died at six months, and JoRae.

 

Joesph and Sindey were later divorced and Joseph moved to San
Diego, California where he has
lived ever since.

 

Joseph passed away on September
7, 2011 at Scripps Mercy Hospital of San Diego.  He had reached the age of  49 years, 8 months and 6 days.

 

Survivors include his mother Janet Moberg, sister Connie
Moberg, daughter JoRae (John) Stockdale, and his grandson Grayson.

 

He was preceded in death by his birth parents, son Dustin,
and father C. Waldo Moberg.
