Libor, Leslie Allan 62


Leslie Allan Libor passed away on December 31, 2016 at Prairie Senior Cottage of Hutchinson.
Memorial Service: 2 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.
Visitation: will begin at 1 PM Friday at church.
Leslie Allan Libor was born in Watertown, Minnesota on January 4, 1954 to George and Jeannie (Lockwood) Libor. He grew up in the Bloomington, Minnesota area, West Palm Beach, Florida and finally Howard Lake where he graduated from High School in 1972.
After High School Leslie entered the United States Army Where he served until 1975. He spent time during his service in Hawaii. On May 1, 1977 Leslie married Beverly Ernhart at the home of the bride. The couple made their home first in Cokato, then in Georgia for 5 years. While in Georgia Leslie worked as a 911 deputy sheriff dispatcher from Jan 81-1984 for Fulton County police department in Atlanta. They then moved back to Cokato and Leslie went to work at Buffalo Cleaners where he stayed for the next 33 years.
Leslie was a great sports enthusiast, he coached his children’s little league teams, played town ball and horse shoes. He enjoyed music and played in “The Driftwood Band”. He was interested in cars and street rods, his own was a 1939 Pontiac. He enjoyed socializing and was a charismatic individual, a cutthroat cribbage player and yet a humble individual. He was one of the original lot owners at Lake Dale Campground on Long Lake. He was a member of the Howard Lake American Legion Post 145.
Leslie passed away on December 31, 2016 at Prairie Senior Cottage, in Hutchinson, Minnesota he had reached the age of 62 years, 11 months and 31 days.
Survivors include his former wife Beverly of Hutchinson, children: Joel (Tyler Anderson) of Minneapolis, Shawn (Rhoda Hubbard-Anderson ) Libor of Hutchinson, Dawn (Steve) Suess of Hutchinson. Grand children Jaden and Kash Suess of Hutchinson. Sister Jan (Jeff) Sammon of Alpharetta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
