Boltz, Bradley Gayle 77

Bradley Gayle Boltz, age 77, of Cokato, died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at his apartment in Cokato.
He was born September 27, 1939, in Cokato, the son of Orville and Laverne (Anderson) Boltz. Bradley was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.
Bradley was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Laverne Boltz; his sisters Pamela and Janice; and a granddaughter, Kaylia Boltz.
He is survived by Kathy Smith, Lisa Boltz: and their children Lisa Becker, Bradley Jr. Boltz (Janine), Brett Boltz (Melinda), Brian Boltz (Tammy), Adam Boltz (Shanna), Joshua Boltz (Alicia), Caleb Boltz (LeRae Self), Joseph Boltz (Lanae), and Rachael (Conor) Cote; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bradley married Kathy Ledwein on April 28, 1962.
Bradley married Lisa Blackstone on June 11, 1982.
Bradley grew up and lived in the Cokato area all his life. He attended the Cokato School where he played football and participated on the track team. He went on to work as a mason, bricklayer and a concrete finisher. He loved his work and continued to do that for most of his life. He bought and moved out to his farm off Highway 12 in 1965. The farm was a place of enjoyment with the many animals including deer, the tranquility of the trees and mowing the lawn for the remainder of his life. He was known to host Bible studies and fellowship there, sharing his love for the Lord.
Most considered him a “jack of all trades”. He liked to try almost everything at least once and wasn’t afraid to tell you if he was good at it. Bradley loved racing of all sorts. His favorites included snowmobile racing, drag racing and truck pulling. He enjoyed trapshooting and included his family with this experience and hobby. He had many hobbies including hunting and fishing, raising deer, raising birds, mowing lawn, monkeying around in his skid steer, and eating a very big meal. Bradley was famous around town for his strong, hand-breaking handshake, appetite and sharing his big smile.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato, MN.
The funeral service will take place Thursday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated. Cards can be sent to PO Box 534, Howard Lake, MN 55349.
