89, of Cokato, MN, passed away 11/30/2018 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Howard Lake. She had a passion for photography. Survived by children Brenda (Mark) Morgan of Dallas, TX, Terry Harloff of Cokato, MN, Tom (Lisa) Harloff of Duluth, MN, granddaughters Melissa, Morgan and Abby Harloff. Esget, Leo O’day 76

Visitation for Leo Esget will be 10-12 on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato. Interment will follow visitation at the Ellsworth Township Cemetery, South of Darwin.

Leo Esget fell asleep in Christ on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, after a brief illness. Leo was born in Minneapolis, MN on Feb. 5, 1942, to Clarence and Bernice (Anderson) Esget. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church. He married Eileen Sellen on Jan. 9, 1965 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ellsworth Township, MN. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1966 to 1972 (4th Tank Battalion of the 33rd Armor Regiment).

Leo was a devoted and sacrificial husband, and loving father and grandfather to their children Christopher (wife Kassie and grandson James) and Emily, all of whom survive him.

Leo owned Parkway Tree Service in Minneapolis, MN for forty years. He labored tirelessly every day of his life. He loved automobiles, and restored to perfection many classic cars from the 1950s, along with several Corvettes. He could fix anything and kept a spotless garage.

Clements, Wendell Clarence 91


Wendell Clarence Clements was born in Topeka, Kansas on March 7, 1927 to Henry C. and Lenora (Ellis) Clements. Even though the family moved a few times, in his growing up, he felt that Havensville, Kansas was his hometown. The family eventually moved to Denver, Colorado, where as a young man, Wendell, went in search of a job. (He always said he graduated from the Denver School of opportunity). He always had a yearning for trains and planes, and this lead him to the Union Pacific Railroad, and because he was one of the few who at this time owned a bicycle, he was hired by the UP as a courier. This was the start of a 43 year career with Union Pacific, rising within the ranks; he held positions in Denver, Memphis, Tennessee, Chicago, Illinois, and ending in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In his last position with the UP he was a regional director for shipping stretching from the Dakota’s to Montana and across Canada to the mountains, he was very proud of his accomplishments.

On October 13, 1956, in Denver, he married Glorene Martinson of Cokato, Minnesota. She faithfully followed him thru all of his life’s moves. They enjoyed ente3rtaining and traveling. They especially enjoyed Hawaii, making 7 trips there, and also Palm Springs, California. After retiring from the railroad they moved to Sun City West, Arizona, where they lived for the next 26 years.

Wendell passed away on November 7, 2018 in Peoria, Arizona. He had reached the age of 91 years, and 8 months. He was preceded in death by: his wife Glorene of 61 years, parents Henry and Lenora Clements, brothers Ellis and Sam and Sister Ina Ruth. He is survived by many nephews and nieces who will greatly miss him.

An interment service was held on Sunday November 25, 2018 at the Cokato City Cemetery.

Jones, Gladys Delores 83

Jones, Gladys Delores
age 83, of Cokato went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2018. She was born January 9, 1935 in Forbes, North Dakota.
Gladys enjoyed collecting antiques and loved playing Bingo. She lived in the Howard Lake and Cokato area for the past 41 years.
Survived by 3 Daughters, Susan Marsh of Cokato, MN, Nancy (Michael) Bachand of Sturgis, SD, and Pennie (Bryan) Gile of Eagle, CO, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf Schimke and Selma Oswald, 1 brother, Rueben Schimke, 3 sisters, Helen Hein, Adeline Eisenbraun, and Alice Cich.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5-7 PM with 6:30 prayer service at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato, 320-286-2534, www.swansonpeterson.com

Isaacson, Loren Michael 67

Loren passed away peacefully, at home in Cokato, on November 14, 2018.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00pm at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cokato, MN.
Visitation: Monday, November 19, 2018, at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato from 4-7pm, and 1-hour prior to the funeral service at church, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

Loren Michael Isaacson was born on August 20, 1951 in Litchfield, Minnesota, the son of Linton and Evelyn (Klimstra) Isaacson. He grew up in Dassel, graduating from Dassel High School, in 1969. He was drafted into the Army in 1971 and served in the Army National Guard, until 1978. As a youth, he was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, in Dassel and then Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Cokato, after marrying Bonnie (Peterson), on June 15, 1974. Loren and Bonnie made their home, and raised their children, in the Dassel-Cokato area and later moved to Mitchell, South Dakota for 15 years, returning to Cokato, in 2016. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 41 years, retiring in September 2011. Loren enjoyed playing cards, Ford Mustangs, reading, watching movies, fishing, and telling stories.

Loren is survived by his wife, Bonnie, children Heather (Judd) Wheatley of Cokato, Heidi (Dan) Schabert of Eau Claire, WI, and Heath (Kristin) of Winsted, Connecticut, grandchildren Trent Wheatley and Jenna Schabert, parents Linton and Evelyn Isaacson of Dassel, brother Ralph Isaacson, sister Connie (Marland) Meyer, sister-in-law Renee Isaacson, mother-in-law Helen Peterson, sister-in-law Ruth Mesick, brothers-in-law Duane (Darline) Peterson and Todd (Karen) Peterson, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Loren was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Isaacson, father-in-law Eldon Peterson, sister-in-law Priscilla Isaacson and brother-in-law David Mesick.
