Anderson, Ellen V. 87

Ellen Viema Anderson passed away at the Cokato Manor on 7/19/2012.

funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 23, at Grace Lutheran Church North of Cokato

Visitation will be at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato on Sunday from 4-7 PM

Interment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery

Ellen Viema Anderson, was born on November 9, 1924 in Kingston,
Minnesota to Hjalmer and Dagmar (Waataja)
Sikkila.  She grew up in Kingston
and was baptized and confirmed at the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Cokato.

 

Ellen attended grade school in Kingston
and went on to High School in Litchfield, graduating in 1942.  After school she took a job at Iver Petersons
grocery store in Kingston.

 

On June 26, 1946
Ellen married Gordon Martin Anderson.
They lived with Gordon’s parents for a year while building their own
farm house at Happy Corner, North of Cokato, where they farmed and raised their
family.  In the early 70’s Ellen started
sewing at Fabritec of Cokato and worked there until 1995.  In 1997 she moved to Cokato.

 

Ellen enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting she also was
very fond of flowers and her garden.  She
was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and very involved in her church
Grace Lutheran of French Lake.

 

Ellen passed away at Cokato Manor on July 19, 2012.
She had reached the age of  87
years, 8 months and 10 days.

 

Survivors include: Son Allan (Nancy)
Anderson of South Haven, Grandchildren: Joshua Larson of South Haven, Ben
(Becky) Anderson of Chisago City, Brendon (Becky) Anderson of Bloomington and
Brianna (Chevis) Nelson of Richfield.
Great grand children: Jazlyn Anderson and Levi Nelson.  Brothers Marvin and Arnold
Sikkila.

 

Ellen is preceded in death by: her parents Hjalmer and
Dagmar, husband Gordon, Daughter Susan Larson, sisters Irene Anderson and Ethel
Barrie, and brothers; Earl, Harry and Clifford Sikkila.

Parris, Hughlon S.

in his 93rd year, of Deerwood, MN. formerly of Mpls., died July 12. Preceded in death by: wife; Doris, parents; Otis & Bess, and brother; Charles. Survived by: son; Richard & wife; Marlyn, granddaughter; Dawn Kvaas, grandson; Drake Parris, great-granddaugter; Korbin, great-grandson; Kyle, and great-great-grandson; Konnor. Hugh graduated from Mpls. West High School in 1936. He was employed by Armour & Co. for 41 years. Celebration service: 7/18, 11 am at Elim Luth. Church Chapel in Robbinsdale, with visitation 1 hr prior to service at church. Internment at Cokato City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be distributed by the family.

Pudlitzke, Alan Glen 54

Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, 7/14/2012 at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake

Alan Glen Pudlitzke, was born in Cokato,
Minnesota on June 24, 1958 to Caroline (Ryti) and Glen
Pudlitzke.  He attended Howard
Lake High School
and went on to study land surveying at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis.  He worked as a surveyor for many years.

 

Alan was an active person, playing softball and bowling.

 

Alan passed away at his home in Waverly on July 9, 2012.  He had reached the age of  54 years, and 15 days.

 

Survivors include: father Glen Pudlitzke, Sister Gale
Pudlitzke, brother Gene Puydlitzke, niece Jennifer Koch, and Nephew Spencer Bonnell.  He leaves behind many wonderful and
supportive friends and relatives.  Alan
was preceded in death by his mother Caroline.
