Paul of Cokato Passed away May 10, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Coon Rapids

Funeral Service: 2 PM Tuesday, May 14, at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato

Visitation: 4-8 PM Monday at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato and 1hr prior to service at church on Tuesday

Paul Arvid Holmquist was born in Cokato,
Minnesota on April 6, 1945 to Melvin and Fern (Larson) Holmquist.  He was baptized and confirmed at the
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato and remained a life long member.  Paul graduated from Cokato
High School in 1966.

Paul worked with his father Melvin, delivering dairy
products in and around Cokato.  In 1981
Mel retired and Paul took a job as a custodian at the Dassel
Cokato High School,
working there until 2009.  He has lived
at the Cokato Apartments for the past 20 years helping with senior dinning and
other tasks at the apartments.

Paul was an avid sports fan.
He enjoyed watching all sports at Cokato
High School and Dassel-Cokato
High School.  He was an enthusiastic Twins and Vikings fan
and attended many games.  Harmon
Killebrew was his favorite athlete.  He
collected programs from all sporting events.
Most of all Paul enjoyed people; he made friends easily and enjoyed visiting.  Paul received the Aquatennial Commodores
Award at the Cokato Corn Carnival.

Paul passed away at Mercy Hospital of Coon Rapids on May 10, 2013. He had reached the age
of 68 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Survivors include his brothers; David Holmquist of New
Jersey, and Mike (Belinda) Holmquist of Cokato.  Nieces, nephews, great nieces and great
nephews, cousins and many friends.

Paul was preceded in death by: his parents Melvin and Fern,
and niece Wendy Holmquist.

Blanchette, Robert L.

age 89, resident of Edgewood Gables in Cokato, formerly of Waverly, MN. passed away 5/2. Retired U.S. Navy, and former Dayton employee. Survived by, wife Reta, son, Thomas, Daughter, Cynthia Binning, sister, Patricia (Dennis) Barbaro. Funeral service 5/11, 11am with visitation 1 hr prior to service at the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake. Interment at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Children’s Shriner Hospital, Cancer Society, or Kidney Foundation.

Clifford passed away at home in Cokato on May 1, 2013.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Monday, May 6, 2013, Stockholm Lutheran Church.

Visitation: 4-9 PM Sunday at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato and 1hr prior to service on Monday at the church.

Clifford Paul Monson was born Dec. 24, 1928 to Edward and Lillian (Stegemeyer) Monson
in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  He went to Dassel
High School.  He served in the US Army March 12, 1951-March 12, 1953.  He was with the signal corps operations
company as a power man for stand-by-power at the transmitting site for the Far
East Command at Kawasaki, Japan.  He married Judy L. Wittenberg on March 27, 1954 and they make their
home in rural Dassel where he farmed and milked cows for a few years.  Later they moved to Cokato where they raised
their two children, Diane and Jeffery.

Cliff worked at the Stockholm Creamery in his early years
and when it closed, took a job at Durkee-Atwood in Minneapolis
making different types of belts for machinery.
He worked there for over 16 years.
He then worked for the City of Cokato
in the Public Works Department for several years.  He also was the primary care giver for his
wife Judy, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in her early
thirties.  However, Cliff and Judy loved
to travel and made sure they got their vacations in as they developed their own
system for doing things despite her handicap.

Cliff was a volunteer firefighter for Cokato, a lifelong
member of the Stockholm Lutheran
Church, and had many hobbies which
included: hunting, fishing, carpentry, gardening, going to the casino, playing
on the computer and in his later years having coffee with his friends.  He was a great fix-it man and had a talent
for figuring out things.  He loved to
watch the birds at his feeders, and enjoyed all the wildlife animals he would
see.

Clifford passed away at his home in Cokato on May 1, 2013, he had reached the age of
84 years, 4 months and 7 days.  He is
survived by: his children Diane and (Lynn) of Anoka,
MN. and Jeffery and (Shelley) of Lexington
Park, MD, brother Allan of Big
Timber, MT.  2 step-grandchildren Jessica
(Jack) Taylor of Lexington Park, MD. And Charles Romero of Lexington
Park MD.  Aunts and uncles and many
nieces, nephews and cousins, and all his friends.

Graham, Brady J.

age, 9 of Waverly was called to Heaven on April 19, 2013 after a year long battle with Burkitts Leukemia. Preceded in death by grandparents, Butch Brady and Michael Truax, and uncle, Shawn Pagelkopf. Survived by, parents Michelle (Jerry) Brady , Scott (Amy) Graham, sisters Marisa, Madelyn, and Allison. Brady had an infectious smile, great personality, warm caring heart, and a wonderful sense of humor. He had a great love for baseball, and his dog Chewy. He will be forever in our hearts. Celebration of life, Thur., April 25, 1 pm with visitation Wed., April 24, 3-8pm and 1 hr prior to service, all at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.

Arthur Gerald Ogaard of Litchfield, formerly of Cokato, passed away at Emmanuel Nursing Home of Litchfield on 4-9-2013

Visitation; 4-8 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato.

Arthur Gerald Ogaard, was born on September 15, 1932 at Donnybrook, North Dakota, to Maurice and Doris (Swanstrom) Ogaard.  He grew up in Cokato and was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.  Art graduated from Cokato High School in 1952.  After High School he joined the United States Navy spending most of his 4 years in San Diego, California.

Art went on to St. Cloud State College, while there he helped build the Rich Springs golf coarse at Cold Spring, and later the Buffalo Heights golf coarse of Buffalo, and the Cokato golf coarse.  Art married Nancy Rentz in Buffalo in October of 1963.

Art owned and operated the Clover Leaf Milk delivery service in Cokato for quite some time before moving on to other things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, woodworking, pistol league, gun smithing, motor cycle riding, sno mobieling, trap shooting, and bowling.  He was a licensed pilot and
member of the NRA, Cokato Country Club, Cokato Legion, and Masons.  Most of all Art enjoyed his family, being a good friend and helping people.

Art passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Emmanuel Nursing Home of Litchfield on April 9, 2013.  He had reached the age of 80 years, 6 months and 24 days.

Survivors include; Nancy Ogaard of Aurora, Minnesota, Sons; Gerald of Rosemont, Goff (Susan) of Swanville. Greg (Melinda) of Iowa Falls. Grandchildren: Heather, Brian, Sarah, Rachel, Jackson.  Great grand children; Tanner Kylee, Makenna, and Carter. Brother Richard of Seattle.  Nieces Nephews other relatives and many friends.

Art was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Doris, and great grand son Kaden
