Funeral Service: 2PM Wednesday June 12, 2013, Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.

Visitation: 4-8 PM Tuesday, Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home

Floyd Frank Isaacson was born on August 15th, 1927 in
Franklin, Minnesota to Hulda and Frank Isaacson, the ninth of seventeen
children.  He was baptized on August
23rd, 1928 and was confirmed at Franklin Apostolic. Lutheran Church
in Franklin on June 25th, 1944.

Floyd attended school through the
eighth grade.  He was a farm hand helping
at neighboring farms until joining the service, and was assigned to Co. A.,
838th Engineering Bn.  He was
discharged from the Army in 1952.
He was married to Rosilyn Hanson on
June 13th , 1953 and they lived on and worked a farm on the north
shore of Cokato lake.  They left the farm
and moved to Cokato in the early sixties and while working for Minnegasco they
moved to Howard Lake, Winsted, and finally returned to Cokato in 1966.  He worked briefly for K&K Electronics and
Russell Morris Excavating before going to work for the City of Cokato

the City but continued to work part-time for a number of years after that.
Floyd and Rosilyn had
three children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as many
circles of friends and extended family and co-workers.
Floyd enjoyed hunting, and later in
life became an avid golfer-much to the amazement of many who knew him.  He could always be counted on to help if
someone was in a pinch, to share in a good joke, and when the opportunity
presented itself, to be able to laugh for the
simple sake of laughing.  He could
spend hours watching the birdfeeders outside his window, and would only pass on
that opportunity to rub elbows with the “regulars” at the Iron
Horse.

sincere appreciation to Swanson Peterson Funeral Homes for their many years of
friendship and support in times of need as well as to the Allina Hospice
Services and “Nurse Kelly” for helping Floyd leave us with dignity and one last
smile…
