age 64, of Cokato, passed away on August 26, 2017 at the Cokato Manor. She was born in Cokato, MN on December 21, 1952 to Elmer and Betty (Hendrickson) Dahlen. Judy graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 1974 and later from Southwest State University. She was united in marriage to Richard Fisher. Judy enjoyed spending time reading, knitting, and crocheting. Special thank you to Judy’s dear friend Patty Olson for many years of fun, laughter and adventures.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Sonja (Josh) Olson, grandchildren, Cash, Raegan, and Kendyl Olson, mother, Betty, sisters Diane Dahlen, Susan (Robert) Miller, and Amy (David) Studer, along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father, Elmer, and grandparents, Elmer and Mildred Dahlen, and Arthur and Mary Hendrickson.

age 85, of Howard Lake, MN passed away on August 16, 2017 at the St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted, MN.
Gerald was born November 27, 1931 in Wells, MN to Walter and Esther (Johnston) Vogelsang. On January 20th, 1951 he was united in marriage to Donna Mae Wood. This union was blessed with 5 children. Employment as a butter maker at the Howard Lake creamery brought the family to Howard Lake in 1960, where they made their home. Gerald later worked for Donald Lemke Construction. His passion was being a custodian at St. James Lutheran Church and School in Howard Lake. Following his retirement, he was “Grandpa” at the Village Ranch in Cokato.
Gerald enjoyed camping, wood working, fishing at Charlie’s Resort, and playing cards. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna, children, Brian (Jan) Vogelsang, Nancy (Doug) Neumann, Darlyce (Robert) Vogelsang, and Janice (Steve) Edmonson, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brothers, Dale (Joann), and Donald (Judy), sister, Beverly, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Mark, parents, grandparents, and 2 sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be 2 hours prior to the service at church. age 63, of Cokato passed away on August 5, 2017. He was born December 13, 1953 in Cokato, MN to Donald and Elaine Workman. He was brought up in the christian faith in the Howard Lake MN area. He graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1972. He was united in marriage to Betty Mahlstedt on February 14, 1975. This union was blessed with the birth of a son, Nicholas. David worked 23 years at Mid-Am in Winsted, MN and 17 years at Randy’s Environmental Services in Delano, MN. He retired early do to a cancer diagnosis in 2014.
David was an avid reader, loved woodworking and remodeling, as well as quilting and needle craft. He enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. He especially enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joyce.
Survived by his wife, Betty, son, Nicholas and his wife, Julie, grandchildren, Taylor, Jessica, Isaac, Aimee, and Ryker Workman, siblings, Judith (BJ) Segal, Jim (Rosemarie) Workman, Richard (Katherine) Workman, Robert (Deborah) Workman, Daniel Workman, Patrick (Sheri) Workman, Timothy (Barbara) Workman, and Pamela Workman.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 with a gathering of family and friends from 3-5 PM, all at the First Presbyterian church of Howard Lake. age 93, of Cokato went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2017 at Ecumen of Litchfield. She was born June 17, 1924 in Cokato to Ephraim and Ella (Wright) Miller. She was baptized and confirmed at the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arlene was united in marriage to Lowell Satterlee on June 29, 1942. This union was blessed with three children. They made their home in Cokato, and enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Loon Lake in Vergas, MN. She was a life time member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato and American Legion Auxiliary.
Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family at sporting events, recitals, and around the camp fire. She was very proud of her family and always willing to share a story about them.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lowell, daughter, Lowette Schoettmer, son, Lance Satterlee, son in-laws, Richard Beckman and Jerry Schoettmer, and her siblings and their spouses.
She is survived by her daughter, Marla Beckman, daughter in-law, Linda Satterlee, sister in-law, Delores Schulte, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Lempi Wilhelmina Koivisto was born on October 20, 1926 to Charles and Wilhelmina Aho in Middleville Township, northeast of Cokato. She passed away on July 27, 2017 at the Cokato Manor.
Lempi grew up in the Cokato area and married Oswald Koivisto on November 4, 1944. They lived for a short time in Duluth before moving to Cokato, and were members of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Cokato. Oswald passed away in 1974, and Lempi resided in Cokato for the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by husband Oswald, son Philip, father and mother Charles and Wilhelmina Aho, grandson Erick Huotari, great-granddaughter Lila Pennala, brothers Eino and Melvin Aho, and sister Ellen Tormanen. She is survived by her children and their families, Virginia (Wendell) Huotari, James, Paul (Ruth), Joel (Sandra), Mark (Paula), David (Josie), Maria (Mark) Jarvie, John and Karen. Also survived by two sisters, Esther Simonson and Lorraine Wisuri.
Lempi will be missed by her family, friends, and brothers and sisters in faith.
