Michael Scott “Mikey” Hodges, age 37, passed away on November 2, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born on May 28, 1988, in Waconia, Minnesota, Mikey grew up in Mound and later made his home in Cokato.
Mikey attended school in the Mound Westonka School District. From a young age, he was drawn to anything with an engine—a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Whether it was dirt bikes or snowmobiles, Mikey found joy and freedom in the roar of an engine and the thrill of the ride. Recently, he had rekindled his love for dirt bike riding alongside Jayden and was eagerly anticipating the winter season to take out his newly acquired F7 snowmobile.
Known for his adventurous spirit and generous heart, Mikey was a risk taker who never hesitated to lend a hand. Helping others brought him genuine happiness. He had a deep affection for animals and a natural ability to connect with them. Those who knew him will remember his caring nature and the way he embraced life with energy and compassion.
Family meant everything to Mikey. He is survived by his mother Lori; his sister Melissa; his brother-in-law Shaun, his nephew Logan and Logan’s wife Teagan; as well as his great nephew Jaxton and great niece Josephine. He also leaves behind his beloved fiancé Liz and her children—Teagan, Keylee, Brooklyn, and Jayden—whom he loved as his own. Marriage was something Mikey looked forward to deeply; he hoped to wed once his mother regained her health so she could witness that special moment.
Mikey was preceded in death by his beloved father, Scott Kelly Hodges.
A memorial service celebrating Mikey’s life was held on November 5, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
May Michael Scott Hodges’ memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. His vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of many
