Hilary “Larry” Joseph Hausladen, age 72, of Winsted, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025.
Larry was born on June 10, 1953, and he was the fourteenth child of fifteen. His parents were Joseph Hausladen and Hildegard (Remer) Hausladen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Mary’s Church and received his education at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Waverly, graduating from Howard Lake, Waverly High School, Class of 72.
Larry spent his working years in landscaping, janitorial services, and other hands-on roles that reflected his strong work ethic and humble spirit. Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, playing cards (especially euchre and hand and foot), and taking trips to the casino. He enjoyed trying his luck at bingo and loved Western movies and old-time country music.
Above all, Larry cherished time spent with his large and loving family. Whether swapping stories and jokes, sharing laughs, or simply enjoying each other’s company, he was happiest surrounded by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. His warmth and easygoing nature made him a welcome presence wherever he went.
Larry is survived by his brothers Kenneth, Robert (Mary Ann), and Arnold (Linda); sisters Ann Dalheimer and Sue (Duayne) Heimerl; sisters-in-law Jane and Suzie Hausladen; and his dear friend Mavis Weber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hildegard; brothers Marcel, Clarence, Emmett, and Conrad; sisters Betty (Jerome) Kittock, Doris (James) Outly, Jean (Glen) Yager, Bonaventure, and Mildred; brother-in-law John Dalheimer; and sister-in-law Beatrice Hausladen.
Larry will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his kind heart, gentle humor, and the love he shared so freely.
A private prayer service will be held.
