Madileen (Carlson) Bourasa of Luck WI, passed peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Waverly, Minnesota. She lived 87 years. Maddie was born at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, MN on October 1, 1938, to Vernon and Viola Carlson. She grew up with her brothers and sister, Gerald Carlson, Harland Carlson and Debora (Carlson) Levrentz. She was confirmed at the Almelund Lutheran Church and graduated from Taylors Falls High School in Taylors Falls, MN. Maddie worked with her brothers Jerry and Harley as painter in the Twin Cities area. She loved Fishing, Hunting, Camping and watching the Packers! On November 29, 1958, Maddie married Michael Bourasa. Mike and Maddie had daughters Kimberly and Kelly and were married for 31 years before his death in 1988. Maddie is preceded in death by her husband Michael; daughter Kimberly (Thomsen) and parents Vernon and Viola Carlson and brother Harley Carlson. Maddie is survived by daughter Kelly (Gerald), Brother Gerald Carlson, Sister Deborah (Carlson) Levrentz, grandsons Jeremy (Krista) Bourasa, Jonathan Thomsen, Curtis (Amy) Smith, Christopher (Carrie) Smith, granddaughters April (Michael) Hernandez, Heather (Noelle) Howe, Jenny (Troy) Tennis, Mandy Thomsen and Melissa (Shayla) Thomsen, 23 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be scheduled at the cemetery this spring.
